Not a new entry here just a one of my favorites I hadn't listened to in awhile. Sure, Bon Iver isn't for everyone and it leans more toward the mellow side of music but damn....it's good listening. And hell, the guy created the foundation for the band's first album during the span of a winter season up in Wisconsin while staying at his father's cabin. Now being a fellow Midwesterner I can appreciate the dedication behind that decision.
And for those of you who have been fans of Justin Vernon and wondered where the man has gone? Well, fear not. After roughly a 3 year hiatus the band Bon Iver came back in the summer of 2015 to play back in Vernon's home state of Wisconsin. The show wrapped up with a few new tunes and the always popular 'Skinny Love' (which I plastered one of my favorite live recordings below). Also, feel free to check out a few of his other projects. Bands which go by the names of The Shouting Matches and Volcano Choir.
I threw some of his tunes onto our Rdio playlist DUSTING OFF THE MUSIC LIBRARY. Now go....Go rock n' roll.
